On the one year anniversary of Larry Norman's passing, February 24th, 2009, while the Normans and I were in the midst of an extended family gathering to mourn the loss of their deceased brother, son and friend, there was a knock on the door. I opened the door to find a process server asking for Charles Norman. I stood in the doorway, dumbfounded.

The timing of the serving of this document seemed to me to be thoughtless at best, malicious at worst.

Charles came to the door and signed for the document. What the process server had delivered to the grieving family was a lawsuit brought about by Daniel Robinson and the Wallace family which demanded to see the private contents of Larry Norman's will and to try to establish any possible paternity link between Larry and Daniel.

Six months later (August of 2009), amidst mounting legal costs forced upon them by Daniel Robinson's lawsuit, the Normans decided to present Larry's will in order to cut short the legal wranglings instigated by Robinson and his family.

The lawyers representing the two parties went before a judge and presented their evidence and materials.

Shortly thereafter, the lawsuit was withdrawn and the case was subsequently dismissed by the judge.

Andrew Wallace (Daniel's step father) has recently been posting on the Internet that they intend to try and pursue legal action yet again, presumably from a different angle. In light of this, I have been advised by counsel to withhold the information I have uncovered should any additional lawsuits be delivered to the Norman family.

In my research I have uncovered some very interesting material and evidence pertaining to this situation. It will be posted here as soon as I am given clearance by the Normans and their counsel to do so.

When Andrew Wallace discovered that I was writing Larry Norman’s biography he asked me if I would be writing about “Larry’s son Daniel who Larry fathered and abandoned!” I told Mr. Wallace that I would need documents such as a birth certificate, letters, email messages, etc., in order to publish what at this time seems to be little more than hearsay. I also told Mr. Wallace he was free to give my contact information to both Daniel Robinson and his mother.

To date I have not received any documents that prove their claim.
